Energy is present in everything. It is the dormant potential of every non-moving object. It is that which causes a movement of an object. It is that which is involved in the movement of the object and it is present in the result of the movement as well. In that manner, energy is ever present in everything that surrounds us:- NATURE. The nature that surrounds us is built in such a way that it acts as our energy provider on every level. Every activity that we carry out is only subject to the grasping of energy from nature and converting it to a different form of energy to cause a desired result. In the same manner, every human being has to consume food on a daily basis in order for us to continue functioning in this body. The process of consuming food is to grasp the energy present in the food and converting it to energy so that it can be stored in our body to keep us operating. It has been a constant curiosity to theists and atheists on whether there is a way in which we can grasp this energy from the nature without actually conducting the physical action of consuming these foods.
Therefore, the true question that stands is “How to truly receive energy from nature?”. Just recently, our ashram with the guidance of divine mother Devi Sri Maha Tripurasundari has been given the understanding or the knowledge on how this is possible and how this is applicable to everyone. Divine mother says that with this knowledge we will be able to rise to heights of understanding our true nature and our surroundings; from the plant kingdom right up to the human kingdom. The first and the closest direct energy provider from nature to us human beings is the plant kingdom. As such, the concept of receiving energy from nature will start with the help of the plant kingdom-by learning to receive cosmic energy directly from the plants.
Divine mother has put it in very simple terms whereby she says that the basic requirement for the concept of receiving energy directly from the plant kingdom is to first understand that the plant kingdom is the first and foremost kingdom that supports every other kingdom. We will have to understand that all the creations of God are an identity of God himself. As such, in order to understand them, we will first have to CREATE LOVE for them. It is only when one is able to develop love from their heart towards this kingdom that supports our existence on this planet, will he/she be qualified to tap into the energy from the plant kingdom.
She explains that once a person is able to develop love towards the plant kingdom, they will inevitably learn to love every other being on Earth as the plant kingdom is the least evolved being of God’s creation. Learning to love the plant kingdom will automatically give us an appreciation for every other being that are more evolved than plants. Once we have developed love towards every being, a change will take place in our own system such that each and every cell of our body breaking down right up to the chromosomes will begin to shower the radiance of love which other beings will be able to recognize from our vibrations or “aura”. This is why people tend to respond in a positive manner to people who care and show love towards them. It is also due to this fact that spiritual scriptures expound that when Lord Krishna or other saints walked admits nature even shy animals such as peacocks and calves were attracted to them. It was because they were able to identify the vibration of love and they knew that are benign beings and they meant no harm.
In a similar manner, we have been made to understand that the plant kingdom too has the ability to recognize and respond to the vibrations from each person. The theory from yesteryears that plants tend to grow well when spoken to and that flowers tend to bloom well when spoken to was primarily derived from this understanding. In fact, this theory was proven by scientist to be a scientific fact a few years back. In a 1986 interview of Prince Charles of the Royal British monarch, when asked about his habits in the garden, Prince Charles replied quote, "I just come and talk to the plants, really - very important to talk to them, they respond." His statement became a laughing stock and he was much ridiculed by the public. However, two decades later, BBC News UK reported that a month-long study by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) into the effects of the human voice on tomato plants showed that Prince Charles ludicrous claims were in fact true. Using tomatoes, they experimented with different voices and came to find the plants were able to pick up on a person’s stress and responded differently to varying sound waves. The plants that were spoken to by confident and encouraging voices eventually went on to yield bigger tomatoes whereas those that were spoken to harshly yielded unhealthy looking tomatoes. Following that in 2007, Mi Jeong Jeong, a South Korean scientist, discovered that playing Beethoven’s Moonlight sonata to rice plants led to faster growth and earlier blossom. This proves that plants do indeed have a sense of living and are able to pick up on sound waves and even subtler vibrations of a person or their “aura” and can indeed respond to us.
The findings of the scientists come to show that the words of divine mother are true and that when we have purest love emanating from us, it will be identified by the plant kingdom and they will readily respond to us. The first step to tap into the energy from the plant kingdom directly is to ADOPT A TREE. The method that we are coaching goes in line with how the plants live. The mechanism of plants is such that the leaves of a plant grab the sunlight and the roots of the plant grab the water from the ground. As we have learnt under the Sri Vidya doctrine, the two major energy providers and sustainers that play a colossal role in the daily life of us humans are the SUN and the MOON. Hence, the exercise of grasping energy from the plant kingdom is to eventually transport the sun and moon radiance via the plant into our body.
The exercise that we were taught begins by placing our two hands around the plant. Then, we move towards a momentum that helps us to synchronize or come into harmony with the plant. A helpful manner of achieving this momentum is by directing the momentum of our inhalation and exhalation to the process of absorbing sunlight and water that is done by the plant. This is done to understand that we are non-different from the plant and just to help us contemplate-to find our identity with the tree and become SAMYAMA or one with the tree. The idea is not to concentrate on our breathing but to bring stillness to our mind and to understand our similarity to the tree. Then we are to contemplate on grasping the Sun’s energy from the leaves of the plant and that the energy from the leaves are activating our “Pinggala Nadi”( the nerves on the right side of the human body that is activated by the sun’s energy). In a similar manner, we are to contemplate on grasping the moon’s energy from the water that is absorbed by the roots of the plant as water is the essence of the moon. The energy of the water from the roots is to activate the “Ida Nadi”(the nerves on the left side of the human body that is activated by the moon’s energy).
Upon time, by practicing to tune our minds into a harmonious state with the plant, we will be able to receive the sun’s radiance via the leaves and the moon’s radiance through the water from the roots. In the depth of our concentration, the tree will be transmitting energy into our body in a harmonious flow and we will be able to feel the difference to our body.
NOTE:-
We have been made to understand that for preliminary levels, when one adopts a tree, it is advisable that the plant is individualized. This is to achieve a better outcome of the practice as each tree carries its own variable energy as well. It would be easier to achieve a harmony with a single plant than to grasp the energy from various different plants. In other words, this is to help preserve the momentum that is built by the ‘sadhaka’ in his/her particular plant and to ensure that the momentum is not broken by the interference of another person’s energy field simply because each person has a different energy field compared to another and they may reduce the momentum built between the ‘sadhaka’ and his/her plant.
With this new knowledge that has been handed down to us by divine mother Devi Sri Maha Tripurasundari, we are being taught on how to lead a life in harmony with the nature that nourishes us. This practice allows one to live with the nature gradually receiving the energy from nature and allows one to enjoy the benefit of having the plant kingdom support us directly. Upon maturity in this field, the ‘sadhaka’ will no longer be subject to a single individualized plant and will come up to a strong understanding of the plant kingdom. Such a person will be able to rise to a level whereby the plant kingdom would willingly transmit their energy to them as they will be able to recognize that this person has achieved the same momentum or SAMYAMA with the entire plant kingdom. The plants themselves with their sense of living will love this being as they will be able recognize that this being has an overwhelming sense of love for all beings. As such, the plant kingdom will willingly depart with some of their energy with this being as they know that the presence of this being will make this world a better place.
BENEFITS that will be derived from this practice are firstly stability in mind that will ultimately give the practitioner a peaceful mental state. Secondly, the practitioner will also be able to feel a positive difference in their body as this exercise will help to upkeep the body in a healthy manner of grasping the cosmic energy from the plant. Thirdly, this practice will naturally bring advancement to the spiritual life of the practitioner as it will help to bring the practitioner to a higher consciousness and to learn to live like the plant kingdom that only does well for its environment. In advanced stages, the practitioner may even be able to reduce their food intake because they will slowly learn to be supported by the cosmic energy rather than to rely on the necessity of physical food intake. Many saints of the olden days knew this secret which is why they were able to indulge in stringent meditation and tapas years at end without even eating a morsel of rice. It is also partially due to this understanding that great yogis, sufi saints and monks(such as the great Buddha) chose to sit under a tree when they conduct their tapas as the large trees will be able to support their body for a long period of time during their vigorous penance.
Our ashram is planning to activate this exercise in the near future but we are aware that it is difficult to find grown up trees readily that can be used for this purpose. Hence, we are planning to put the “Neem Culture” to work hand-in-hand with this program. The “Neem Culture” is another one of our project whereby each person is recommended to adopt a neem plant for themselves as we have recently learnt of the extraordinary qualities that the neem plant has in nature and its benefits to the environment and us. Since this exercise requires the adoption of a tree, we only see it fit to adopt a plant of good quality and the Neem plant fits the category all too well. The benefits of the neem plant is extensively elaborated in our website:-…………………………A suitable location will be identified and we would love to start this exercise right away. Beginners need not be worried as we will guide each practitioner from the basic phases and the practitioners will be taught on how to tune their mind to the subtle momentum of the plant. In future we are also looking forward to having a nicely built support for us to sit and hold onto the plant during the exercise to make the practice more comfortable. In conjunction to this exercise, we will also be handing out energized water for the practitioners and will be coaching them on other methods of energizing specific energy centers in the human spine(chakras) as instructed by divine mother. The energizing of chakras will take place by first offering salutations to the Sun and sitting with our backs facing the morning Sun so as to expose the spine to the healing rays of the sun. The energized water and energizing of the chakras is highly recommended for those who face physical ailments but is open to all. Hence, we would like to invite everyone who believes that they can benefit from these exercises to join us in leading a healthier life with the support of the nature and to learn to dwell with the nature that is every nourishing.
